On Friday 9 June at 7.30pm Cantors Theatre School stage Encore – a fast moving show performed by the theatre school students.
On Saturday 10 June at 7.30pm bluesy-folk music legend Wizz Jones makes a Lowestoft debut at the Seagull. Acknowledged as inspiration for Eric Clapton, Keith Richards, John Renbourn, Ralph McTell and many more, Wizz has played his own style of powerful guitar and vocal just about everywhere. This is a rare chance to hear one of the true greats. For this night only Wizz is supported by Cornish/East Anglia duo Rowan Tree.
On Thursday 15 June at 7pm Lowestoft Sixth Form College leavers present their Leavers Variety Show. For one night only the students come together one last time for their final performance amongst each other with singers, contortionists, dancers, comedians and more. It’s sure to certainly be a varied evening of entertainment and an emotional goodbye from this great team of budding young performers.
On Saturday June 17 at 7.30pm James McDermott performs his acclaimed comedy Rubber Ring Jimmy is sixteen, sexually confused and stuck in Sheringham. When pop star Morrissey comes to London, Jimmy flees to the city to find his hero and himself. ‘Rubber Ring’ is a laugh-out- loud coming of age comedy about a Norfolk boy’s struggle with sexual and regional identity.
On Sunday June 18 at 7pm Andy Davis hosts another family fun evening of Karaoke, featuring your most loved songs, so grab some friends and come on down to our relaxed foyer. The bar will be open for the people who may need a small amount of Dutch courage.
On Monday June 19 at 10.30am and again at 1.30pm children 0-3 years old and their carers are invited to plunge into Orla’s Moon, Orla’s Moon is a new immersive music theatre production for 0-3 years and their carers on tour this June. Step into a beautiful moonlit world of dappled light, shimmering stars and tinkling bells and join us on Orla’s night adventure with her faithful dog, Silver, leading the way. Our welcoming cast will tell an enchanting story through song, dance and sensory props, inviting children to interact and immerse themselves in the joy of play.
Admission is free but you must call the theatre 01502589726 to book your ticket. This show is suitable for under 3’s only, only 25 children per showing, please tell us how many adults will be attending.
