On Thursday 9 November at 7.30pm Stephen and Paul Amer and friends present, ‘Songs of Remembrance’ – a nostalgic and humorous commemoration of the music, singers and comedians who kept up morale on the ‘home front’ during WWII. Top quality entertainment.
On Friday 10 November at 7.30pm Townsend Productions present their latest thoughtful, challenging show, ‘We Are The Lions, Mr. Manager!’ This is the remarkable story of Jayaben Desai the inspirational leader of the 1976-78 Grunwick Film Processing Factory Strike. She was recently amongst the women who have had the biggest impact on women’s lives over the past 70 years as part of the Radio 4 Women’s Hour Power List. A powerful, highly watchable paly – not to be missed.
On Saturday 11 November at 7.30pm we are excited to host ‘One Way or Another’, a fabulously energetic and accurate tribute to the music of Blondie. Featuring all the hits and more this audio visual extravaganza will blow the socks right off your feet.
On Sunday 12 November at 7.30pm we host our bi-monthly platform for poets and song writers -‘New Words: Fresh Voices’. On Thursday 16 November at 7.30pm the Deaf and Hearing Ensemble present, ‘People of the Eye’. Inspired by real events, this personal story follows a family finding their way through tricky territory by way of video projections, sound, live performance and creative accessibility. An extraordinary piece, superbly performed.

On Friday 17 November at 7.30pm Strange Fascination Theatre present two Ghost stories by MR James. ‘A Warning to the Curious’ features a woman looking for a lost crown in a deceptive seaside town. In, ‘Oh, I’ll Whistle and I’ll Come to You My Lad’, Professor Parkins finds incomprehensible confusion on the coast of East Anglia. Two great shows at a bargain price.
On Saturday 18 November at 7.30pm enjoy the complete Gary Numan experience with ‘The Liquid Engineers’ plus support. Always including surprise tracks and with excellent light show, the band takes you to the heart of a Gary Numan concert. With an excellent support band, this show will leave you wanting more.
