BioBlitz Survey with Sam Sewell

A virtual talk with Ecologist Sam Sewell

Norfolk-based Ecologist Sam Sewell, supported by his film-maker partner Becky Demmen known as ‘Supporting Your Art’, have made a BioBlitz survey video. It will be available to view for free on the Waveney & Blyth Arts YouTube Channel from Monday 17th August.

In the family-friendly video, Sam will share the insects and plants he discovered around Blythburgh’s Holy Trinity Church and in the surrounding landscape. He’ll also help you with hints about spotting species when you’re visiting the site or exploring your garden at home.

Sam Sewell is an ecologist. He conducts surveys around the country look for newts, bats and many other creatures/plantlife. He is passionate about helping people find all the joy of nature and encouraging them to explore their back garden and beyond.

The videos were filmed with support from Becky Demmen who runs Supporting Your Art, a company that supports the creative journeys of individuals and organisations.

This video is part of our ‘BioBlitz Arts’ series, produced in Summer/Autumn 2020. The videos include a site survey and inspiring workshops by an Artist and Poet. They can be enjoyed by all ages and watched in any order.
