Walking Right up your Street with Dean Parkin

Following on from his books and his successful video poem about the area, Dean Parkin takes you on a tour of Lowestoft’s High Street and Scores with poems, tales and tall stories along the way.

From the shops and trades of yesteryear to the forgotten traditions and old local characters, Dean will provide an entertaining and quirky guide to the historical heart of his hometown.

The tour will start at the old Town Hall, take in some of the Scores and fishing village before concluding at Paperworks books & prints.

Refreshments are not part of walk but there’s a good coffee shop next to paperworks.

This walk is not suitable for wheelchairs users or the less mobile as there are steep inclines and steps in some of the Scores.

There’s a loo block on the Triangle Market place.
