Dear Departed
A recently discovered cache of a Victorian family’s letters reveals their daily lives, struggles, hopes and thoughts.
(There is also a morning performance of this event on Saturday 11 September at 7pm, please click here)
Everything from the everyday business of domestic life, work and relationships in and around Halesworth, to their thoughts about events in the wider world.
Helen Wolvey and David Wollweber will explain how this almost unique treasure trove was found, transcribed, researched and placed in its historical context. Their book about it is the most recent publication by the Halesworth museum.
The presentation will be brought to life by local actors from Circle 67.
