Wild About Bungay with Terry and Chris Reeve

This walk, based on the book Wild About Bungay, commemorates Jasmine Lingwood, a keen nature lover, who re-established the Bungay branch of Suffolk Wildlife Trust in 2004.

The book features approx. 250 colour photos of all aspects of Bungay wildlife, by local contributors, featured on the Wild About Bungay website. Many of these are by acclaimed photographer Frances Crickmore, who will describe her subjects and techniques at Stow Fen.

Jasmine’s brothers, Terry and Chris Reeve, will focus on Jasmine’s  passion for wild flowers, and her favourite nature poems.

Meeting at Bungay Buttercross, town centre, NR35 1AP, 2 – 4.30pm

The walk includes rural footpaths and meadows, which are not suitable for wheel- chair users or  mobility ressrictions. There are stiles and narrow bridges, long grass and rutted tracks so sturdy footwear is advised and the terrain is generally flat, without steep inclines.

Loos are available for the first part of the walk in the town centre.

Refreshments aren’t available on the walk, but there are cafes in town and a coffee machine at Fen Farm shop.

Dogs on leads please, as possible cattle in fields.

The proceeds from this walk go to Suffolk Wildlife Trust.
