Artists Jo and Holly Scholfield will be showing their artwork at CraftCo, Southwold from 3rd to 29th October. Jo will be exhibiting ceramic and rag rug works, and Holly will be displaying series of prints and drawings.
Jo Scholfield, rag rug maker/ceramicist with her daughter Holly, printmaker/painter are keeping up with family traditions and showing new work in the Upstairs Gallery at CRAFTCO. Jo’s intensely coloured inlaid clay, perfectly translates from her intuitive pattern making through rag rugs. She will be showing tiles, pots and a selection of rag rugs. The patterns vary from abstract to figurative – naïve cherry blossom placed in harmony with chequer board and spots. Holly, who trained at St Martins in painting and later in Textile print and design at NUA. Her new work follows the same passion for colour. The woodcuts, linocuts and mono prints have an obvious feel for textiles with patterns and adornment appearing throughout.
The private view will be held on Saturday 5th October from 2pm-4pm.
