Leiston’s first book festival takes place on Saturday 7th September at the town’s Edwardian Film Theatre. The day will see six non-fiction authors on stage, each with a book that explores our evolving landscape and environment.
The festival has the support of Leiston Town Council, who are covering venue costs, and Sizewell Creative who have funded the website and are helping market the event. ‘We wanted to be different from other local book festivals,’ Robert Ashton explained, ‘and want people to stay for the whole day, so that they can be part of a conversation that will develop as the programme unfolds.’
Tickets for Leiston’s first book festival which runs from 10am to 5pm on Saturday 7th September cost just £30 for adults, £25 for over 65s, and £10 for those under 18. Further details and book via the website www.leistonbookfestival.co.uk
