Artists should use their artistic talents to interpret the essence of Lowestoft and approach their painting in any way they feel – literally, fantastically, imaginary, memorable, quirky, bright, colourful or even unusual. And to use any medium to execute their many varied visions of Lowestoft – Britain’s Most Easterly Town. Because we believe that it is something worth celebrating.
- Each artist can submit up to three paintings.
- All paintings must be framed to gallery standards (check with us if you’re not sure about this).
- Mediums excepted = oil, w/c, acrylic, pastel, embroidery, charcoal, collage, etching, drypoint, woodcut, linocut. No photography.
- Each painting must be a view, a scene or depict something that is unmistakably Lowestoft!
There is a panel of people who will decide which paintings will be chosen to be exhibited at Ferini Art Gallery within their 20th Annual Summer Exhibition which will held in July/August 2019. In the event that none of your paintings are short listed – do not worry – they may well be put on the reserve list – which means we could call them at a later date for exhibitions in the future at Ferini Art Gallery.
