Simon splits his time between London and Suffolk and produces the vast majority of his work in a rather derelict barn in the pretty village of Yoxford. He utilises a wide range of materials including locally sourced timber, seaglass, and other found materials.
Much of his work involves the manufacture of large oak panels on which he paints scenes inspired by the Suffolk Coast. More recently he has started producing small oak sculptures.
For the Waveney Trail he will be sculpting much larger pieces of work using timber felled on some of the large Suffolk estates.
Simon is an assistant headteacher at a large school in North London.
