The Seagull Theatre, Lowestoft has a whole host of events coming up.
On Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 at 7pm Kessingland Primary Year 6’s present ‘Whodunnit – the mystery of the missing Kessingland mascot’. With disaster looming over the forthcoming summer holidays can anyone solve the mystery and save the day? Come along and find out. Tickets £7.
On Saturday 13 July at 7pm Stuff of Dreams present – ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. Due to demand, their 2018 tour of this play has been extended to include this special performance in Nicholas Everitt Park, Oulton Broad. Bring a picnic, a blanket and enjoy this wonderful event as the sun dips over the water of the Broad. Tickets £9/£12/1£15 (groups of 3/4/5).
On Sunday 14 July at 7.30pm we open up the Seagull foyer bar for our bi-monthly platform for poets and singers to try out their own material. Newcomers and regulars are equally welcome. Contact Ian Fosten on 0779 106 8080 or [email protected] if you would like to take part. Tickets £4.
On Tuesday 16 July at 7.30 we are delighted to host ‘Easterly Edge’. This innovative performance is a collaboration between Step Up – a team of technical design students – who combine with Wendsum, a local acoustic band and DJ Smoothgroove to produce a marvellous sound and visual exploration of mythical creatures who just might pitch up on these shores. Tickets £5
On Friday 19 July at 7.30pm come along to hear and enjoy the re-formed Settlers, whose folk/pop songs – The lightening Tree and others – take us back to the 60s and 70s. They will perform their older songs together with more recently written work. A lovely, gently nostalgic evening is in store! Tickets £12/£10.
