Tickets are now on sale for this 2 July Voice Project choir performance at Blythburgh church – two shows, 6pm and 8pm (book at www.voiceproject.co.uk). Meanwhile, here is the history of the association between the choir and Waveney & Blyth Arts. And the competition…
When covid trashed the planned Arc of the Sky show in 2020, the Voice Project rehearsed and recorded the choir online and made a film. Whet your appetite for the show and limber up for the competition by watching the film. You’ll find it on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0uQagXZlMA) and on the choir website (https://www.voiceproject.co.uk/arc-of-the-sky-film-2020).
Suitably inspired by this, submit your entry for our competition. A poem, short prose, a drawing or a painting – anything you can email us to info@waveneyandblytharts.com. The competition is open to everyone and the closing date is 16 July 2022.
And the prize…
If you’re familiar with Blythburgh church, you will know it has angels in the roof. And Cindy Lee Wright will be featuring angels in this year’s Sculpture in the Valley (Potton Hall, 27 May-26 June). Indeed some of her angels may show up in the church. But in any case we are offering one as the prize in our Arc of the Sky competition.
