A Free Open Air Poetry Workshop at Thornham Walks in the Storyteller’s Glade. Led by Beth Soule we will experiment with various short forms of poetry writing and create poetry ‘leaves’ for a PoeTree installation in the glade.
There will also be a Pop-Up Poetry session from 2pm-4pm, bring a poem on the themes of summer, the natural world, climate change to read in the glade, or just come to listen to poets reading their work. If you bring a poem that is not your own, please be sure it is out of copyright, or you have the poet’s permission to read it in public. If other events or just The Walks themselves have inspired you, there could be further opportunities in the afternoon to add a poem to the installation.

There will be lots of other wonderful free activities ad entertainment, to suit all of the family. to enjoy through the day, including baking outdoors, wood sculpture and yoga. The art gallery, pottery studio and photography gallery will be open as well as the café and ice-cream parlour. The only cost for event is parking at £3.
