I work in bronze, ceramic and plaster. I make figurative sculptures that express a wide range of emotions. After graduating from St Martin’s, I spent twelve years in India – six in a Christian Art Ashram and six years in a Hindu temple town. I discovered a live relationship between art and theology. Returning to UK in 1988, I re-connected with my western roots via the psychology of C.G.Jung.
I am interested in the cultural construction of woman from her own point of view. I also sculpt images of men – from outer observation as fathers and from inner experience as my animus or inner male.
