RoughCast Theatre Company

“That is the story of our beginning. And this is the story of… the end”

RoughCast Theatre Company, the highly skilled local theatre troupe, is touring Suffolk with a production of “Lovesong” by Abi Morgan (The Iron Lady, Suffragette, The Split). This poignant drama, from 2011, follows the ups and downs of a 40-year marriage. It is told from two moments in a couple’s lives – as young lovers in their twenties and as elderly companions. Only the stoniest hearted will fail to be moved.

Ruth McCabe

Ruth McCabe is delighted to have had work selected for inclusion in Gallery East’s exhibition beginning March 11 entitled ‘The horizontal landscape’. Gallery East is at 24 Church Street, Woodbridge, IP12 1DH.
5 of Ruth’s framed works will be hung alongside work by Simon Carter, Kate Giles, Emma Green and Jo Rizzato. She is also creating new smaller pieces for the browser.

Ruth continues to work in translucent layers to find the composition she needs for a work.
The piece illustrated is acrylic ink on board and employs the grain of the wood in the composition.
