Community Theatre launches full programme of events for the first time in 18 months.
Lowestoft’s premier community theatre, The Seagull, launches its Autumn programme this month, with a full series of performances for the first time since early 2020.
The entertainment kicks off with rocking good shows from Darren Page on 10th September when he brings his Roy Orbison tribute to town; and local favourites Zingaro Blue on Saturday 11th with their crowd pleasing mix of folk and rock tunes. Later in the month the theatre hosts the third annual Lowestoft Jazz festival with international artists such as Ian Shaw and Lianne Carroll once again returning to the stage.
As we head into October, another local favourite, the ELO Encounter return to the Seagull with their popular tribute act on Saturday 16th October. The following week, Chris North, acclaimed magician, brings his “Curious tales and Unusual Phenomena” show on Saturday 23rd October.
Amongst the treats in November, there is local production of Noel Coward’s ever popular “Blithe Spirit” (25th – 27th November) and Pat Martin brings the combined sounds of Gary Numan and Kraftwerk to the stage on the 20th November.
Work is already underway to ensure that December offers a packed catalogue of delights, with the Seagull already auditioning for this year’s production of “The Railway Children” which will take the stage from 18th December.
