This weekend the Historic High Street area of Lowestoft is being taken back in time as part of the Heritage Open Days. The pedestrianised area of the High Street will be playing host to a number of Victorian themed events organised by the Seagull Theatre.
On both Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th September there will be a range of themed performances from 10am to 3pm. Visitors to the area will be able to witness an amazing flea circus, be gobsmacked by a Victorian magician and hear the tales of the famous writer Charles Dickens.
Those who enjoy a singalong will also be able to take part in some music hall style songs and mix with an array of colourful Victorian characters.
The event is funded by East Suffolk Council and Heritage England as part of the Heritage Action Zone initiative and is supported by Lowestoft Town Council.
