On this two-day etching workshop on the 3rd and 4th of August 2024 with Catherine Greenwood, we will be concentrating on a refresher course in etching with a close focus on Aquatint and Sugar Lift with some Chine Colle. On Day 1 we will be drawing directly from the human figure onto etching plates, (These plates will be prepared in advance with soft or hard ground).
On Day 2 we will be continuing with the human form or concentrating on our own print making projects. Our workshop on both days will run from 10 am till 4 pm.
Our autumn workshop on the on the 6th and 7th of September 2024 with Fine Artist and Printmaker David Stubbs see www.davidstubbsartist.com for his full biography, will run from 10 am till 4pm and will be an etching course focusing on multi-colour plates and the Suffolk landscape all round us at Mill Street Etching Studio. We will be concentrating on Aquatint and hard and soft ground on this course. Please note both courses include copper plates, papers and inks with coffee and pastries on arrival and a two-course lunch, concluding with an informal critique on the second day with fizz!
